Yarmouth, Maine CB

This image depicts the frontage of a civic building, in this case a Baptist church. Civic buildings should have special standing in the community and therefore are exempt from most regulations for Transect Zones. The house in the distance is set close to the street like most in this T-zone, but the church setback (or "build-to line") is deeper. This allows for gathering before and after services. Because the church is tall and wide, it encloses its own modest civic space.
