Thoroughfare is a general category within which there are many types. These include road, which is a rural type, and street, which is an an urban type. Thoroughfares include both the Vehicular Lanes and the Public Frontage, as they benefit from unified design. TYPES: Road (R), Street (ST), Commercial Street (CS), Drive (DR), Avenue (AV), Boulevard (BV), Rear Alleys (RA), Rear Lane (RL), Path (PT), Passage (PS), Bicycle Trail (BT), Bicycle Path (BP), Bicycle Lane (BL), Bicycle Boulevard (BBV), Bicycle Route (BR).
