This pedestrian-friendly Dunkin Donuts fits into an urban context in terms of type. It is an urban building type (shop) with an urban private frontage type (shopfront, retail frontage) and an urban setback or build-to line (zero). While the buildings to the left are not commercial types, they are urban in other ways - the zero setback, the rowhouse building type with its stoop frontage type. There is an obvious style change, however. The colors and materials contribute to a different style (good luck naming it) that harmonizes much better with the blue shop on the right than with the houses on the left. The style is a matter of aesthetics, which is important, but the types are matters of function, which is more important.
