The impressive brick and granite Hibbing High School, built in 1920, terminates this block. Bob Dylan (née Zimmerman) went to school there, Class of 1959. This photograph depicts both Common Yard and Porch & Fence frontages. Common Yard is typically American. The unimpeded view down a block of connected lawns evokes, in a small way, the endless Western vistas we romanticize.
