Newport's historic T4 fabric includes houses (detached dwellings). They contribute to T4 character because of the narrow lots and shallow or zero setbacks, helping define an urban street space and permit medium high density. Like Marblehead, Massachusetts, also seen in this Gallery, there are some small brick parking spots and driveways adorned with rocks or plantings. These breaks can add to the charm of the walking environment, which "snout house" garages never do.
